ICSE 2013

Preparation Instructions

Dear Authors of PLEASE 2013 papers,

Below you will find important instructions on how to prepare for the workshop. Please read them carefully.

  1. You should prepare a 10 minute presentation that clearly describes the problem you want to solve or the solution that you propose. Please use the attached presentation template. Please note that your presentation will be limited to 10 minutes plus 4 minutes for comments and questions. We will be very strict on timing.
  2. Please send a PDF version of your presentation to by May 4th, 2013. The presentation will be published on the workshop web-site, together with the list of accepted papers and their abstracts.
  3. Get yourself familiar with the program of the workshop.
    The program contains three main parts:
    1. An introduction session, in which an author of each accepted paper presents their work (see item 1 above);
    2. A "speed-dating" session, in which workshop participants have 10 minutes one-to-one sessions with each other in order to match identified problems with proposed solutions. The goal of this session is to identify "good matches" and build potential collaborations.
    3. A summary session, in which the identified matches are discussed and next steps are proposed. The goal of this session is to build long-lasting relationship among the participants.
  4. To have efficient "dating", please do some preparations in advance. Use the designated password-protected participants area on the web-site both to provide basic information about yourself and to start scheduling your meetings. (Use the username and password that were sent to you by email.)
    You can consult the list of accepted papers when deciding whom you want to meet.

Please feel free to let us know if you have any questions,
The PLEASE 2013 organizers Julia, Goetz, Andreas and David
